The first car I bought was right after high school. A 1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE with a 383 Magnum with some work to the engine. I had to borrow this pic from the net as I don't know where mine are and mine didn't have the back window louvers. Later on I re-did a 1976 Chrysler Cordoba with a 440 magnum and slight mods because it was a daily driver................
very cool Jim..i haven't had many mopars,a 70 and 71 dart, and 69 roadrunner..my brother is a big mopar fan and currently has a 68 satellite race car and a big block converted 70 dart swinger.
I had an RD350, but always wanted a purple H2 Mach IV, 750cc 2-stroke triple with pipes.... Screamer.
Back in the early 1980s, I was looking to pick up another Mustang, and was specifically looking for a convertible. I stumbled upon one that was a 1969 GT, the last year for the GTs. At the time, I did not know they ran the GT package through 1969 as the Mach 1 was king. The car had a 289 in it, so I knew something was definitely not quite right. I asked the owner what happened to the original engine and he led me into his garage. Sitting in the back corner was a complete 428ci engine, and the owner said I could take it with the car. I checked the VIN on the car and sure enough was the Q, indicating it was a big block vehicle. I told the owner I was serious about buying it for the asking price, $4,000 and asked him if he could give me two hours. I called my buddy and asked him if I was looking at the real deal, but he replied that it had to be a fake as it was a very rare combination. I called back the owner and politely declined a 1969 Mustang GT convertible with a 428 for $4 grand.
that is a shame, they do exist,i know of a black one in a collection up here..even rarer is the big block coupe..

Here's another one that caught my eye recently. It's an older Toyota FJ45 pickup with a 345hp ramjet Chevy 350 in it. https://silodrome.com/toyota-fj45-land-cruiser-pickup/
