    HOLY MOLY !!!

I have pretty much been passing this thread by, since it didn't look to be so interesting.
I have never been so wrong and I am kicking myself.

For me, looking at these beauties is similar to my looking at brush porn.
Outstanding work and I wish you were in business.

I have a Star similar to GDs and perhaps a tech and older OC. I would be happy to send you a few scheckles or perhaps buy you some product and have it delivered to you.

    Please say yes.

    thanks

How about a flare tip? Just thinking out loud.

I have taken them apart cleaned and rescued two flare tips. The plate was great on both. I returned them to friend that is getting into DE. It would be easy to coat compared to the Fat Boys. It is a little bit of a bugger getting the retainer ring back on.

New note on Fat Boys the Two tone i am testing now shaves great, it beat me up when coating(Thanks NoahG). One blemish is the doors when tightening the end knob and the blade curves up for the angle it scraped a tiny bit of coating off. Will monitor it next few shaves and report back.

Bryan, first I want to say that it really makes me happy to see you bring new life to the Fatboy I thought was dead. Your work is not only amazing, but pretty darn unique to boot. Every razor somehow seems to top the last. If I had anything that wasn't already in great shape, it would be on its way to you!

Thank you very much for the complement. i Bow to you sir for your generous nature.
With out taking down the dead fat boy it would have been next to impossible to clean all the crusty stuff and corrosion out. If you remember it had a sticking problem with the doors opening well the curve of the comb was bent. The doors were bent. If you open your fat boy slow the doors open even and then last little bit flop open. When closing look at the end on the doors there is a little tab that is what was rubbing on the leading bottom side of the comb the worst. This gave me great on the job training, I am a firm believer in DIY projects. If i get another corroded razor i want to try filling it with solder and smoothing all the edges, filing in new grooves in the comb while keeping the correct shave dimensions. Oh and taking the main tube on a fat or slim and turning some wicked acrylic on it.

That Fatboy is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. I will very likely be contacting you about my own, beat-up Fatboy.

    Excellent work, sir!:happy096

Good to here they are back home safe. The black is hard to get good pics auto focus has a hard time. Justin remember the adjustment spring is soldered. the other dimension's should be ok and i measured the blade lifter on each setting and got it as close as possible.

That's very cool and looks like it was time intensive making sure to avoid getting the coating on specific areas such as the center blade bar, bottom side of the blade bed... I'd like to see a flare-tip Super Speed like this.

    Very nice Tforc!

When I opened it up at the Postal Shop I have a box at, the guys simply went Wow! One young man basically stated it that must be a transformer razor or something, when I opened the silo doors. I was able to explain to him about these razors. He had never seen a DE and never knew how much one weighed in the hand or how you let the razor do the work. They were impressed at this Bad Boy Slim!
