Grab Bag 2011 - Round THREE

I'm in too.

 

yeah.. I suppose me too...

Its one of those things, if I don't go in... I will wish I had

 

put me in for this go-round of the grab bag. Kinda missed watching the last ones progress, and seeing what lurked inside when it was opened up.

 

If Canada is being let in on this leg count me in other wise I may work on getting a box going for us boys north of the boarder

 

I believe shipping across the border is a no go for this as there are regulations for shipping alcohol products. Jeff or someone else will be along to confirm this or tell me I'm wrong.

 

Any word on the next round?
Or did I miss a new thread?

I may be mistaken, but I think the previous organizing party may be MIA. If another Grab Bag is to make its rounds, I think someone else might have to grab the reins and start it (and make up a list of participants)!

 

I asked for someone to take the box over before the last round finished. No one stepped up. I still have the box. Anyone wanting to take over the box, let me know and I will send you the box to organize the next round.

In the best interests of TSD, the person taking over the box should be an established member with good standing.

 

Yeah... I suppose.. I am running (although delaying) a box on another forum, but will take this one if no-one else volunteers.

 

I would love to be in the next round.

I would also be willing to organize the box, although this will be my first box so if someone who's been around longer and has some experience wants to step up, I'd be happy to defer.

 

I would like to be on the Grab Bag Box for 2012.

 

you know if we amended the box to contain no alcohol it could be passed across boarders

 

If there's interest, it would be easy enough for the box-meister to pull all of the alcohol-based products out of the box, send it up to the great white north to pass through everyone interested up there, then back down to the states where the box-meister would then add the alcohol-based products back in.

 

even without any customs forbidden items, it will still cost whichever member has to send it across the border substantially more than the other legs of the rotation and we would probably be without tracking on that leg. Not saying it cant be done, just something members need to be aware of. without the liquids, the box may not weigh as much, but the last time it was here it was about 23 pounds

 

Fishcrow / Brad has offered to take the box over. I told him what all to expect in running the thing. If he thinks he can do it, I will send the box to Brad.
