Grab Bag 2011 - Round THREE

Gmail Fail apparently. Mine is through a Gmail Exchange server that pushes the emails to my phone immediately.

 

yup... Droid 2 still hasn't detected the messages to download. gmail has been a touch flaky lately on my work tablet so who knows... oh well, back to the regularly scheduled box updates.

Jeff, I will try my best to get the box out within a 1 day turn around when it gets here.

 

I will get the box to the post office tomorrow. It's ready to go, but I didn't have time to get to the post office today.

Good advise, my friend, and with new records being set for on.line shipping, the holiday mail delivery will become difficult. Also, how do you like tap.a.talk? Thanks to all for the advice about subscribed threads. I will have to look for the email option when I go on the desktop instead of this IPad

 

I like tapatalk much better on the iPad than on the android smart phone. At least on the iPad I can get my private messages

Brian had the box, he is shipping it to me. It may be on the way to me already.

 

Remarkable that this box pass started in June and hasn't finished yet.

 

That pass finished in September. This pass started in October. However, it is dragging a bit.

 

Well, in defense of the person who had it before me....the box did have the bad timing to show up the week he got married...so that delay couldn't really be helped.

 

You're correct, my bad as I forgot I met Jeff at the start.

 

yup... life doesn't tolerate box schedules. It has a way of getting in the way. I certainly hold no grudge to the gentleman and wish him a happy marriage.

To make it easier to keep track, the above is the current progress of the box. I guess that we will not have Saturday delivery in the future starting with 2012? What are the folks after me interested in....DE, SE, Cutthroats(love to call them that Brit term...lol} Injectors, Trac/Atra? Doug

 

Well, one very stinky and crushed box was at my door this afternoon. Box was wet... not a good sign...

There was some breakage and some leakage...

So, I started a new box and will try to seal the leaking bottles and toss the broken things. However, even If I toss the broken things, a mug with blue soap, some hair cream, etc... and pull out some of the really big things, there still isn't room to put anything in here. I will try to get it in the mail tomorrow. However, it may take longer to figure this out.

So there are unlabeled soaps in here. Any idea what the three huge bars of soap are?

 

Justin, are you feeling better? Use your judgement on what should be tossed as we do not need to send anything which is going to cause problems during the Holiday mailing crush. Doug

 

Doing better... I had meetings at work this evening so I haven't had a chance to do anything else with the box. Hopefully things won't be too busy when I get back home. I keep sitting in this meeting smelling a mix of edt and don't know if someone bathed in it or if it is me...

 

Ok... so there were 2 bottles of after shave/tonic that had broken and emptied in the box. Those are tossed. I also tossed the broken mug with soap, the broken hair cream, and several cardboard things that were soaked in the mix. There are some labels which are mostly unreadable, but you can kind of guess what they are. Yes, the broken bottles were in baggies, but the baggies broke as well... Sure the hair cream just had a broken lid, but it had taken a bath in hair tonic and after shave...

I took from the box:
4 packs of shark blades
an odd pocket watch (kinda steampunkish... daughter is whining that she wants this one...)
SCS Arrimarse EDT
A big chunk of unlabeled artisan bath soap.

I added:
Mystic Men shave cream
a small tube of Lea After-Shave Balsam
A tube of Phyto Expert AS (no idea of how much is left)
an injector razor
4 packs of red IP
3 packs of Ladas

The box is packed, sealed, and labeled. If the line isn't too long, I will get it shipped out to DougR tomorrow during my lunch.

The box is just plain stuff still. But, it all fits... at the moment.

 

Thanks for the update Justin! Perhaps all the broken stuff is the postal employees taking their rage out on recent developments???
