Yeah, I know. As much fun as it is to see everything go in, it's kinda sad to see some of it come out. Ah well. No sence trying to figure out what you might want to take out until it is actually in your hands. Reminds me of a saying about not tallying barnyard foul prior to shell emergence.

 

Sorry about that, it always does feel like thats the way it goes. If it helps, the threads on the Clix razor are stripped and the finish on the g-bar is wonky. Although I am guessing you were eyeing the soaps. I hadn't dared try them before because I was worried about skin reactions.

Anyway, the box is on its way and should by to the next person (you, thevez2) on Wednesday.

 

Hey, just wanted to say a few things about the box. I took the box to the post office and didn't even realize that it wasn't in a flat rate box before I had paid the bill and then stopped to wonder why it was $20. We had outgrown the large flat rate box again. In one way, that is great! However, some member down the road might be in for a shock and have that box at the wrong time financially.

Maybe it is time to cull the box or at least think a little bit more about what is in the box. I know, I just put a lot of stuff in there. However, I found two razors with stripped threads that aren't usable in their current condition. There was another that barely had enough threads to tighten and a single edge that isn't working properly. Maybe a lot of the damage is coming from the shipping. But when we are at the point that the box is big enough to pay by weight, then why are we shipping broken or nearly broken razors and three packs of williams and some unlabeled soap?

If it weren't for the time that the box had already been delayed and my stated goal of getting the box on the road today (actually... my goal was last week by Thursday - but as I didn't have the box until much later than that.....), I would have seen if we wanted to do some purging of items. I did pull two damaged razors but there are two DE and a SE that aren't functional or in bad shape. If I had realized that we were at the paying by weight state, I would have probably pulled them as well. I left them in just in case someone wanted to tinker with them.

 

thevez2 / KJ has offered to slap together some kits for PIF, so we should be able to get the bag back down to a more manageable size in the next few days.

 

Yeah, I'll work on that box. I'll pull out some stuff to make a couple Newbie PIFs, and get it down to a flat rate box size again.

 

Box received on Thursday. Went through it this morning for the first time. Will go through again another time this weekend and pull out some PIF items. Should be able to pack up and resedn on Monday. Will post pics later.

Who has all the postcards? There's only a couple in there.

 

I put the two that were in there. At some point before me the cards vanished.

 

How far along the list has it made it so far? I'm looking forward to round 3!

OK folks. Had a blast with the box. It's fun to look through and smell all the stuff in that box. I initially took out the stuff I wanted. And I took out stuff for two newbie PIFs. I took pictures of all that stuff. Then as I was boxing it up, in a smaller flat rate (large) box, I needed to take a couple extra things out, so not everything I took is pictured.

What I put in:

TSD SOTQ Soap B2 - Cantaloupe
TSD SOTQ Soap B3 – ‘Current Scent’ (I don’t want to spoil the surprise for anyone)
Bull Goose Shaving – Razor/Brush Rack
Avon Jaguar Car – Wild Country after shave (I told you I'd put Avon in there!)

Barbasol Pacific Rush After Shave (Great stuff, very cooling)

ASR DE Blades – 2 Packs (Now that Walmart doesn't stock ASR, these are hard to find. Luckily, since they are my favorite blade, I have a steady supply)

You'll notice I didn't take any razors. There were only a couple DE razors in the Box, so I will use razors of my own (and probably a few other items) to round out these PIFs.

No prob, and I must apologise. You only took 2 things I was looking at (not 3 as I mentioned before). I thought from your picture that you had taken the Contract Tech that I wanted. Apparently there were two of them in there, because I was very surprised to see it in the box when I opened it.

 

Yup, there were two of them in there.

 

Minor Delay, but it is in the mail now. Sorry about that. Didn't make it to the PO in time yesterday. It is in a Large Flat Rate Box and it is packed to the gills. Little packing, all product!

 

I can't wait until round 3 to join in!
I love being in these boxes! (Not literally in the box unless you make holes for me to breathe)
