Sorry to hear the Nivea caused that reaction (I put it in the box). I had a similar reaction to a different Nivea A/S and so had never used the one I put in the box. I have had these reactions to different products, so I didn't think to warn that I had such a reaction - I figured it was just my skin and not the A/S (then again, I was using a different Nivea as well). Hope your skin is back to normal.

Folks, sorry for the delay. I wasn't able to finish up the lists yet. I got hit by a car on the way home from work and just got back from the hospital. I'm not really up for dealing with the list right now. I'll be okay in a few days, methinks.

    Looks fine by me.

Hope all is going to be alright Dom, sending lots of good mojo your way, and keep us up to date please.

Then get a car for your own protection if nothing else!

  4. For those who are concerned about this reaction to the Nivea cooling balm, I can state that I use it frequently and have had no reaction to it. It is a little more 'intense' on the face than their acclaimed 'sensitive' balm, but much less so than any alcohol-based splash.

I personally think it's a very good ASB. Cooling and moisturizing.

There's always a likelihood that you'll be sensitive to something in these products, though. That's one of the great things about the Grab Bag - you get to see what works for you without having to shell out a lot of money for it.

Not in too much pain this morning, so I'll try and finish up the lists today.

For those wonderin, I was riding my bike home from work last night and a guy in a parked car threw his door open right into me. Have to get my wrist checked out by an ortopedist, but other than that, I think I'll be fine.

Sorry to hear about your accident, sending prayers and best wishes your direction.

  7. Burning,

Hope you feel better. By your description, it looks like he did it on purpose? Hope you ok! Also beware with crazy drivers out there, specially in a bike.

I am also a Nivea user, but i haven't used the A/S. I am not allergic to it as I have tried it. But there are two models that I have used. One is USA made and one is Mexico Made. The one from Mexico smells better and that is the one I use the most. The USA I use it if I ran out of the Mexican Brand Nivea.

    Take care guys,

    Dark

Sorry it has taken me so long to get this going.

We've got a really small list this time, folks. A couple people declined to partake in this round. Anyone who'd like to join in, please do!

So the boxes are now in Maryland with Jason (jfever311). Let's send one Oklahoma to visit Lee and Freebird and the other can creep across the US to California.

    Box 1:
    hoglahoo
    freebird
    djwurm
    otherstar
    Etoyoc

    Box 2:
    QueenofBlades
    otipoby
    MsBlackwolf
    burningdarkness
    iamdarkangel2005
    Gnetics

If I forgot your name or included you and you don't want to participate, please let me know and I'll rectify the problem. Also folks, please shoot a PM with your address to the person before you on the list.

I think that's it for now. Any suggestions or questions, let me know.

    Happy New Year, everyone.

OK, so I have a stupid question - who is next on the list for each box?

It appears that I am next on the list for one of the boxes and Queen of Blades is next on the list for the other box

I agree - if the roads are ok I could possibly do Saturday. There's a guy in Bixby that might be interested too

Sounds fine to me. I'll be ready to get out of the house by then lol. I came down with the flu between Christmas and New Years eve, so I haven't been doing too much running around.

    edit:
Saturday might not be good, going to have to play it by ear. Got a call yesterday evening and my Uncle is in pretty bad shape. He was life flighted to Tulsa. He's in a coma, has pneumonia and his kidneys are shutting down. If I understood Dad correctly, the Dr's will be taking him off the ventilator tomorrow if he hasn't improved.

    Tony,

I hope whatever happens is for the best

Have you come to town to see him?

No, was afraid to go having just got over the flu, afraid I'd make things worse than they were . He passed away around 5am yesterday morning. Services are set for Wednesday at 10.
