Grab bag

Hey Slartibartfast, do you need my address, or do you have it already? How is the box going for you? finding some goodies?

 

I remember Slartibartfast saying there was a straight that was going to be replaced...hopefully the box gets moving to me soon because I need some of that Godrej and I have stuff to drop in the box too.

 

I just started wet shaving last week with a ss 40 s and a merkur futur after using an atra for many years.

 

And........if there is any Godrej in the box I will be sure not to touch it so that it arrives in Lakeland, Fla..one of my favorite places. :signs046

PM me your address and I will probably get it out on saturday. I tried one shave with the Godrej and ended up putting it back. So the lime is 99.5% full now.

As of right now I think I am just going to end up grabbing one of the DE's in it to use for when I travel and am not checking bags.

I need to hone the non-cracked straight. Then grab one of mine to replace the cracked one and oil them up.

 

Slartibartfast is on the ball and moving the box right along even if it did arrive in the middle of a rain storm. :happy096

I have used a Merkur HD and Gillette SS in the past. How do the Weishi Razors compare?

Reminds me a bit of an SS looking at it.

 

The Weishi is a bit milder than the Super Speeds. I bought a gun metal finish from iamdarkangel and I thought it shaved fine, just mild. My wife swiped it from me and won't give it back. She is horning in on my injector too!

 

Ahh thanks I got rid of my DEs because I only shave with a straight. But after using a catridge razor for 4 days, i need a backup plan.

 

i have not had a chance to hone that straight yet, so it might not be until monday when i get the box out. The postman shows up by noon here.

 

Box is packed up and ready to go to its new home.

I only ended up taking out a Weishi DE. I replaced a straight, honed the other, and threw in a peace of CrO pasted balsa i have had sitting around.

I forgot to put a note with the straights. but the black razor was honed with 1 layer of tape.

 

Sweet! The Weishi will make a decent back up shaver for you on the days when you fall off the straight train.
