I am the next on the list and kiltedshaver mailed the box earlier this week. I just came back from the Post Office and nothing has been received. So I will look for it next week and let everyone know accordingly.

It is Monday and I have not received the Grab Bag in the mail. This is just an update since we are at the mercy of the USPS. Also, does any one know ....5. otipoby....who is next on the list? I need his address and contact information as I could not find it in a search for threads using his name.

 

Have you tried contacting him through e-mail or PM? You can access those functions from the "Contact Info" tab under the profile otipiby's profile

 

Thanks for the contact information; I do not know why but when I put his name into search for threads/posts nothing came up. I have not used the Contact Info tab so thanks for that.

Here is the PM that I just sent him: "Good afternoon, you are on the list to receive the Box after me. While I have not yet received it in the mail, I do expect to receive it this week or maybe next week. Please send me your email, address, and phone number where you can be contacted and where you want the box sent. "

 

When I signed up, I was asked to provide my address and phone number in order to get on the list in the first place....is this not true for everyone on the list???

By the time you get the box, hopefully there are still enough weishis. To replace the one you gave to your wife.

I am glad the box is moving... I guess it will be a long, long , long way till I get it. Say about 3 months?

Lets hope is sooner! Good think i still have soaps and aftershave till then. I am looking for a red tip razor. I need to upgrade my weishi. I get great shaves, but I do notice a difference on the blades. Want to try something new. Hopefully there are other type of DE razors on bag to grab some ..

You are probably right and Burningdarkness should have that information. It is probably still a good idea to give the person a heads up PM/e-mail even if you do have the snail mail info. It is always possible that they have moved or whatever since they originally signed up months ago. They could even be on vacation at the time and it may be better to let the box sit at a known location for a few extra days then have a potential delivery when nobody is home for days.

 

Yes Jeff I put the contact information on the list; but I do not have the list. Kiltedshaver who was on the list before me, emailed me for my information and I sent it to him. The ones that started this process may have it but thanks to them we are participating in the fun. Its no problem to just contact the next on the list; I just had a problem locating him. :signs021

DougR I'm sorry to hear you have yet to receive the package. Crazy USPS, I sent it out Priority Mail last Tuesday, and would have thought it had been delivered by Saturday. And I didn't think to have a tracking number put on it until I had already left the post office, sorry about that. Hopefully it will be there today!

There was at least one Weishi left in the box when it left my place!

Hopefully we will see the box resurface soon.

No problem KiltedShaver, my wife picked the Grab Bag (box) up last night before the Post Office closed and I got Otipoby 's address by PM this morning and mailed it a couple of hours ago. It has tracking and delivery confirmation with an expected delivery of Friday 7/16/10. So, it is on the way.

I added a good condition Gold tech, new arko stick, new godrej tube, new soap pucks, new TSD gardenia soap, C. Conk soap, new razor, travel razor, blades, new Nike grooming set, colognes, AOS samples I bought recently, two new shave brushes, etc. I took the Weishi and a yellow handled straight out. If anyone wants these I will send them along after trying them; there are still two straights in the box. We may need to go to a second box; this one is full and I added packing of the styro peanuts, bubble wrap, and secured some of the stuff in baggies. Thanks again to Etoyoc for his advise and help with moving this box along. Also, it may be helpful for the next in line after Otipoby to send his mailing information right now. " You can call me

I do have the information, but I was hoping we'd not have to resort to that. Asking the next person in line for their information is a good step - it makes it so the person knows it's coming.

I saw this after I sent you that PM. Glad to hear everything is sorted out!

We're doing great this round, folks. If the box gets too full, I think putting a PIF together might be a good idea. We tried two boxes at one point and I think I'm (and most others) are slightly more in favor of one box than two. Let me know if I'm wrong or if there are any other ideas.

 

I agree with the PIF idea. Also, I'm in favor of keeping it one box, even if we have to get a bigger box (as long as it stays in a flat rate box). With one box, everyone has the best chance of picking up some real goodies when it comes around (e.g. whomever follows me will have the chance to get two GEM razors and a few Pella SE blades).
