My Grandfather has just given me a bag of old aftershaves & talcs. I don't know whether I can sell them, but I'll put them on ebay & see If they go. Some of this stuff must be 20 years old! In the bag: Old Spice gift set - After shave lotion & talc Hai Karate after shave lotion Avon for men mini after shave gift set Havana with Tabac absolute - After shave & talc Marks & Spencer Burgundy - After shave splash & balm No 4433 Blue Stratos - After shave lotion & talc St Michael Birchwood Lemon Balm - after shave balm More talc's Casablanca Goya - Cedarwood St Michael Marks & Spencer woodspice Burley Talc For Men St Michael Cornstarch and Yarrow Paul
I think the Old Spice combo is a great find. I still remember the Hai Karate commercials, funny stuff. Raf
Any profits shall go back to my Grandfather. He was having a clear out, & I thought it would be a shame to just throw them out. He said "if you can sell them, have them" He more than likely won't accept any cash, so I'll get him something extra for christmas. Unfortunately he's an electic shaver & so is my Father Paul
Paul, my Dad, who's 86 went back to our traditional wetshaving around 3 years ago, after I pushed him into it. He used an electric for 40 some odd years. Dad loves being a wetshaver!
That's great, I converted my brother to single blade shaving from a mach 3. I'm sure they work for some (they must of put some thought into it) but we both agree a Progress is much better. Interestingly, although he can buy stuff a cost prices, he hasn't got any form of ad as yet. Paul
Paul, did you, or your Dad or Grandfather ever use Erasmic soap? That stuff can convert even the stubbornest electric user right back to wetshaving, and fast! Or perhaps Ingram cream? Also delightful.
Anybody know anything about the HAVANA. Probably a UK thing & a google search yelds no results. I am sure my Grandfather has older stuff than this; opening some of his cupboards is like going back in time. Paul
Never tried Erasmic myself & I think my dad used bic disposables in the past (with foam). I have tried to contact Erasmic (Keyline brands), but no luck as of yet. They have recently been taken over & I am not sure if the old style products will stay in production Paul
oh, my God......yes, that's right, and by Godrej of India. If the Erasmic stuff gets yanked off the UK market, I'll be devastated.
