LOL! I think I may have gotten that from an episode of the Simpsons. Burnside is the North/South dividing street in Portland (where I live), and in the NW area of the city are the street names all of the characters get their names from. I'm betting they probably used that name at some point to tie that street in with the rest of the character names. I seriously didn't know that.

Are you going to keep em thick or trimmed? I'll let you know now, keep a point on your face that's even, and be prepared to have em look funky until you get used to keeping them lined up. It's easy to get them crooked. I've had mine for a while now, and a simple mistake such as a little lather over one will make them uneven. It just takes practice. Ask your folks if you have them even. Heck, I am having to let one side grow back out from messing it up in a shave, and I accidentally gouged one while trimming :p The greatest thing though: My lady loves em ;)

Side burns... I keep mine short and well groomed if I have any at all. According to military grooming standards for the army, side burns aren't allowed go past mid ear level.

Sorry, man. I did it on accident when I was 20, now I keep all hair above the ear holes. I never could grow decent ones anyways. I'm muttonchopless.
