That last one is phenomenal. I'd like to get one done to be chess pieces of the King for the brush and Queen for the razor.
Coffee Beans in Cream Acrylic - Shave Brush by Rod Neep. Beautiful photos by Mikael at StraightRazorPlace. Ahhh, I love the smell of AWESOME in the morning!
Now that I've looked at these posts I'm thinking of getting some custom handles made for my GEM 1912.
Well, I didn't get one of Bob's handles yet, but this one is on its way to me! This artist has been GREAT to work with and I believe I'll buy another from him when he gets in another choice piece of wood. This piece is made of Dymondwood but he works with exotics also.
That was my motivation. I saw his brushes and was blown away. He's on Etsy and the ones he had posted on there are 20mm. I asked him to make me something for a 24mm knot and this is it. I've got my RAD well under control. Not so with my BRAD; this will make # 7. I am refurbing two that I think I'll keep and I have 3 boars. THIS one is something special, though.
Hmm, I'm looking to create a chubby homage brush: 30mm/80mm Manchurian knot on a chubby style handle. This is all about keeping costs as low as they can go. While I have brush and handle envy, the thing in itself is what I'm envying right now, not the deluxiest production. If anyone can point me to an off the shelf handle or hobbyist who'd do it half from love for cheap (like under $15), please do! (Here's what I'm trying to reproduce)
Here's one of mine, a vintage Made Rite 71 with the original badger knot. And here are two custom brushes that a member of B&B made for me. The one on the right is made from lignum vitae wood, and I'm embarrassed to say that I can't remember what the one on the left is made from. Both are fitted with TGN Finest knots.
