There is no Irish heritage in my family, but my daughter was born on March 17, so we have always enjoyed a St Patrick's day celebration. We used to celebrate by going out to an Irish themed pub and enjoying the traditional foods. Now she lives in Florida and I still live in Washington state so dinner together requires an airplane flight. But we still have corned beef on her day and visit over the phone.
