You're just wrong, for pointing that out. Just wrong. Kind of like pointing out, in the Raiders Of The Lost Ark, that the ending would still have been the same, even if Indiana Jones hadn't found the Ark. The Germans would still have gotten it, opened it, and the Germans would still have died. In all, saving about an hour and a.half of watching the movie.
