Hi folks, Coming to you from Nashville TN. Always looking for tips to better our company and to find out exactly what men are looking for in the men's grooming industry. Happy to be a new member of this community. Thanks for having me!
Welcome to The Shave Den from Kentucky! What's your daily shaving set up - razor, brush, soap or cream, aftershave, etc? We enjoying seeing photos if you have them.
Thanks Charlie, Being bearded I usually only shave once a week. When I do, I like to take my time. I do the hot steam towel method and let that sit on the skin for a bout 30 seconds to a minute. I then use a single blade, straight razor with a new replaceable blade. I like the Derby brand blade. I rarely use shaving oil or cream as the hot towel seems to loosen up the facial hair just fine. I have found to get good clean lines on your beard there is no substitute for a straight razor. I use WINNERS brand straight razor. I also use WINNERS After Shave. It is awesome for eliminating razor bumps and irritation. It contains witch hazel which has fantastic anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains caffeine, which tightens the skin post shave. As a disclaimer I must say I am biased to WINNERS as I have ownership in the company and have formulated many of the products myself.
Welcome to TSD @GroomingXpert. Plenty of opinions available, just ask. The down side is answers will be varied. It's a "One guys cheese is an others spoiled milk" issue. There are a few really Old School soap or aftershave makers that have one product they've been making for generations. Loyal following keeps them busy, along with folks new to Wet Shaving trying products. Visit Shave of the Day, or stop in at The 30 Day Rule Focus Group for the fastest pace conversations.
Thanks for the welcome. Nashville is a great town and this forum seems great so far. I checked out your site. Very cool!
