New to DE shaving and a new vintage Gillette adjustable collector here. I am primarily interested in 1.95's, 2.49's and bottom dial fat boys. My current DE razors are a G1 fat boy and a Qshave adjustable (cheap daily shaver). I currently use Derby premium blades and like them. I am looking to network with other like minded collectors. If anyone has a Gillette bottom dial or red dot (never revamped) with original case, blades and instructions I am interested in seeing pics! I have seen an older post from 2014 of a bottom dial 5 position and 9 position and not too many red dot posts. I want to see some newer posts!

Welcome @650fatboy to TSD! Plenty of Vintage fans around here. Haven't seen anyone post a SOTD photo of a bottom dial yet. Well except for Jim @Jayaruh but he's a special case. There's a thread I started for Adjustable Gillette users. It started as "Fat Boy Friday", but in our more inclusive society it was opened to all adjustable Gillette razors. It may be the same razor in a different box - your QShave and my Ming Shi 2000s. Either way a great Merkur Futur clone from China. For less that twenty buck it shaves like a champ! I recently saw this pair of vintage Gillettes on a less traveled auction site. Together they sold for $1051.00 plus shipping and handling. Can you imagine what the person who donated it felt like when their grungy old estate junk sold for a grand?
to TSD @650fatboy I hope you enjoy it here. Although I prefer a 3 piece, I've used all the Gillette adjustables ( fatboy, slim& super adjustable) except the toggle and received great shaves from all of them.
