Welcome @jgreenepa from here in western NY. Glad you decided to join us at TSD. I use to wonder why anyone wound want to use a plastic razor such as a Krona .... up until I tried one, now it's one of my favorites. I have a gray Eversharp eagle Krona and I'm working on getting one for my son.

 

They’re great razors! I used my first Krona for over 50 yrs. It recently gave up the ghost but not before I replaced it from EBay. Just started shaving with my new Karve. Face shaves were great, but not my dome! Still shaving my head with the Krona, until I receive my new B plate from Karve.

 

the british aristocrats are rhodium plated along with some others..here's the new deluxe..the original handle and cap are missing most of their gold plating..heavy head..good candidate for a karve handle..imo..

Just received my gold rocket from your neck of the woods. Looking forward to taking it for a spin. The vendor misrepresented the razor, and failed to mention that it had been replated in gold. Still a great shaving tool.
