A brand new SE Gem style razor would be awesome!!

+ 3. Just don't make the razor anything like the Micro(Junko)matic, Contour, Featherweight, G-Bar or pushbutton.

Make it like an updated 1912 model. Or better yet a lather catcher style.

+4 - SE blade is the only way to go.

Now, a GREAT project would be figuring how to manufacture new single blades with spines. We need some competition out there!

For one idea, here are some pics of a Leslie SE razor. This would be much easier to adjust if it had thumb screws. The PhotoBucket album also has full res images. Sorry for the quality.

PS: I found a good way to use this with a trimmed Feather AC Pro blade...

You could use your exsisting handles, add a threaded post, and create a couple of heads to go on them. Maybe a style of a lather catcher and something similiar to a 1912.

Hello! I started to use Leslie razor with halves of blades for DE razors, and got a good result.

I say follow your dream. Even if you make it only for yourself. You will never know how it shaves, unless you try it.

As for the DE blade. You can improve it by what you said. Solid support top and bottom. Try to get the support as far forward as possible.

I am rooting for you. Do not give up on your idea. It may take several designs. Keep us posted.
