Help with ID

I found this a couple of years ago. No one could identify definitive for me.
It has Gillette markings on the plate but no serial number. Any help would be appreciated.

The head is a Gillette Old Style (20's version) model 102A. The handle? hmmm The handle looks like a Merkur 1904.

 

How does it shave?
