I picked up this straight razor well over a year ago from another member for 50$ shipped from Denmark. I tried shaving but it had a edge that tugged pretty badly, could've been my fault after my first attempt at stropping. I didn't know if anyone had any info on this razor, and knew if it'd be a good one to have sent off and honed for a second attempt as a newbie to straights. Thanks for any help! It looks to be in excellent shape, show is a few more angles like a shot of the makers mark on the tang and both sides of the blade. Just from this view, I'm sure it'd make a fine shaver. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's made in Olean NY. Great quality Cutlery, also makers of the famous Ka-Bar knives. We need to see the blade, but from here this should make an excellent shaver. Send it out to get honed, and you should be good to go.
Union Cutlery was a respected USA brand and maker of some fine razors. As Keith mentioned, it looks to be in fine shape and a good honing will get you on your way to some great shaves!
