I have been looking all over the internet to find a Dovo or similar new straight with genuine horn handle. I like the more natural horn look but have yet to find one under 200. I am going to put this razor on my birthday list. Do you guys know of any websites that have a new dovo or similar razor with horn for around 200?

I found this one and love the look of it but its a little to much

This may be a stupid question and I feel dumb for asking but what kind of bone is this? it just says genuine bone so is that from a human or an animal?

Animal Bone. I am rather sure humans aren't used as scale making materials.

    Wouldn't hurt to check KnifeCenter.com
Their selection varies but usually good prices.

Are you planning on making these scales yourself ????

The ones you linked are just dyed and polished bone, you can walk into any pet store get a chew bone that has been sterilized and make bone scales from it for about $10 in parts....

You can get real Bison/Buffalo horn pretty cheap but it is a little trickier to work with...

You can also get Horn acrylic like these but it would be cheaper for you to have me make them, then to buy the material to do one set yerself...

If I used human bone scales I would be afraid there would be something of the original owner still attached to them. Original owner of the bone that is. He or she might not appreciate their bone being used in such a way.

I don't really like the look of the new Dovo bone scales. They look like one of a batch of one million. No individuality.
