Maxwell House Masterblend -- 11 tablespoons, 12 cups water, Cuisinart coffeemaker, drink coffee, repeat.
I'll be the loser here. I use a Keurig. It is quick and easy and fits in my dorm room. I really want to get more into craft coffee and making it different ways.
During the week I use my Bunn coffee maker. On the weekend I do like to use a French Press. Cream (the powder stuff usually) no sugar.
At least use real cream or milk! http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2014/05/17/non-dairy-creamer-chemicals.aspx
We have several keurig units around the office here. Use a decent coffee, you'll get decent results. I have a box of Peet's pods in my office....
You drink your coffee the way you want. I'll drink my coffee the way I want. Oh, by the way real sugar burns as well.
I prefer mine black.. blacker than a politicians heart. Complete with that little bit of an oil slick you get from that first cup on a fresh pot. I recently upgraded my drip maker to a Bonavita. Great cup of coffee.
Single estate for me. Fresh and local roast. Freshly ground. Spring water or de-chlorinated filtered tap water. Proper brew temp. Correct coffee/water ratio. Play with grind until you dial it in. This is the foundation in my experience for the best cup of coffee. Brew methods may vary and but the above principles should stay the same. N.B. Nothing wrong with a good blend or a multi-estate single origin bean mix My daily Brewer is a 8 cup Bonavita Brewer. Meets proper brew temperature.
Speaking of Chemex & breaking, earlier today a coworker accidentally broke his Chemex into many pieces by knocking it off the counter….
