When I had my own place I shaved every day. Now that I'm living with some people I shave less but I'll be back to every day when I'm back home. If you have the right razor and blade combo and creams/soaps you can absolutely shave every day.
I shave with straight razors exclusively. I don't need to shave every day because my skin is still comfortably smooth 24 hours later. Even then, I don't shave every other day. These days, I shave two, maybe three, times a week.
Why in the world would you miss a day of shaving? I just retired from the military and even when we were in the field we were expected to shave every day. Now there was a reason for that, (1) It is a military requirement to be clean shaven and (2) your protective mask will have a better seal if you are clean shaven. If your protective mask is not sealed correctly, there is the chance that you might die. Pretty good incentive to shave. But I enjoy shaving so it wasn't a problem for me. The cold water was a problem at times but only a mild inconvenience... Enjoy your shave...
for two months when i went in for heart surgery and came out just stopped now i shave every two day just love to latter up and mow the stubble down mick
In years past, I would occasionally skip a day here or there. However, since the birth of my oldest daughter (who will be 5 in a couple of months), I have shaved everyday. She and my youngest daughter (who will be 4 in June) don't like whiskers on daddy's face. As they are my :angelic010 they get there way.
Every day generally, though the occassional Saturday finds me skipping just because it's a lazy day, or a grubby work day, or whatever.
Unless I am am under the weather I normally shave everyday. There is the occasional day off on the weekends but they are few and far in between.
I have to shave every other day. My face just can't take back to back days. But, I think after I get used to all of this I'm going to try shaving on back to back days just to see if it makes a difference.
I shave every day--7 days a week, I have a heavy beard, which I prefer to be gone during the day. I think I miss a shave perhaps once a year, if even so much. My day is not complete and full without a good shave in the morning.
I take maybe one or two days off a month from shaving, and these are days off from work when I'm not expecting to go out or receive visitors. I do try to shave every day, though--my beard grows so fast that shaving even a two-day-old beard takes quite a bit of fuss and can be painful. Back when I used an electric, I dared not take a day off shaving. Not only would I get a horrible shave trying to mow down a multi-day growth, it would take a couple more days for my skin and whiskers to "get used to the shaver" all over again. Electric shavers...bah! I must add that my beard grows so fast, and I enjoy shaving so much thanks to TSD, that I sometimes indulge in a second leisurely shave at bedtime just for the sheer pleasure of it. My Gem Micromatic is perfect for the second shave of the day.
I ussually shave every day but when I start going to school again I am going to cut back and only shave monday, wednesday, and friday. I never had a problem with irritation or anything
So far the last couple of weeks its been everyday. Before that I had a beard for about 10 years or so.
I find that trying to shave every day tends to cause irritation. I'm still trying to sort out if this is a blade issue, a technique issue, or just how my face is built. For now, it's every other
I could probably shave twice a day if I wanted to and if my face could stand it. It's not that I have a super fast growing beard, but instead, it's that I have sensitive skin and a beard that grows moderately fast. My face doesn't take well to BBS every day and a DFS is ready for a second trimming in the late afternoon early evening. This is a long way of saying that I shave every day. The wife won't let me near her if my face is scratchy.
