Check the Portuguese Factory website for all 3 brushes. Boar is about $40; mixed around $70, and badger 10 or 15 more, as I recall.

Where are they available? I didn't see them at vintage scent.

"Semogue Owners Club (SOC) Taj Resin Premium Boar Edition Shaving Brush."

I wonder what the significance of “Taj Resin” is?

Other than Taj being a Dubai headquartered company that produces industrial chemicals?

I have done business with the Portuguese Factory in the past with excellent results. I am not sure what their relationship is with Semogue but the Portuguese Factory has a number of Semogue brushes that are not available at Vintage Scent. Very good with which to deal.

Thanks. Still in me from high school....never end a sentence with a preposition. Good catch.;)

2 synthetic, 3 badger, and 4 boar. I like all types for variety.

What no special mention of your fly lure encased handle brush? On of my favorites of all time since I really dig fly fishing.

    “Churchill” on Prepositions
The saying attributed to Winston Churchill rejecting the rule against ending a sentence with a preposition must be among the most frequently mutated witticisms ever. I have received many notes from correspondents claiming to know what the “original saying” was, but none of them cites an authoritative source.
The alt.english.usage FAQ states that the story originated with an anecdote in Sir Ernest Gowers’ Plain Words (1948). Supposedly an editor had clumsily rearranged one of Churchill’s sentences to avoid ending it in a preposition, and the Prime Minister, very proud of his style, scribbled this note in reply: “This is the sort of English up with which I will not put.” ...

In a trade with member Jack @Sparrow, I included a good size hunk of wood. He was so kind as to return a finished brush, complete with a VS pure black badger knot. An odd yet attractive shape, it stands on the end and fits my hand well.

You guys and your rules...I've been know to verbify a noun in real life or forumly.

That is indeed a terrific looking brush, and totally unique.

"Verbify"? Really? If I had used that during my 14 years of Catholic school I probably wouldn't still be alive today! :angry021:

It's a perfectly cromulent word. Merriam-Webster has it listed.

I lumped it in with the "dozen or so Badger brushes," lol. It's a cool looking brush, and a favorite for it's looks, but the knot is set higher than I prefer, which makes it pillowy or floppy, depending on your preference.
