Not even being a traditional shaver for a year yet I've definitely been in "try it out" mode and have collected a good bit of software already. I'm fortunate that everything I've tried has worked well. Some items definitely had more of a learning curve to them than others, but they all work and I honestly enjoy all of them. Yes I have some favorites, but that's not the point here. I'm just curious about numbers. How much of each do you have? Please don't count multiples of the same soap. I'm more interested in how many different soaps and scents you have. For instance I have 12 pucks of Williams from a recent Kroger clearance but I'll only count that as 1 in my hard soap tally. However, if you have modern and vintage Williams then you can count that as 2. How many hard soaps? How many soft soaps? How many shave sticks? Here are my answers... Hard soaps -- 10 (MWF, Cade, Williams - modern, Old Spice, BlueBeard's Revenge, Provence Sante, DVH, DVH extra fris, TSD malachite, TSD interception) Soft soaps -- 2 (Cella, RazorRock XXX) Shave sticks -- 3 (DVH, DVH - old formulation, Arko)
Just the hard soap with a lavender scent. We have 2 of the same (one for me & one for hubby) I make these.
Hard soaps: Van Der Hagen, Dragonfly, Taylor of Old Bond Street, Williams (modern). Soft soaps: Proraso (green), and RazoRock XXX Sticks: None I've pretty much settled in on using either the RazoRock or the Proraso, though the others are nice for a change now and then.
Cella, Williams, MWF, Tabac, Harris Arlington, Palmolive Stick, La Toja Stick, Valobra Stick, Wilkinson Sword Stick, Arko Stick, Speick Stick, VDH Deluxe, VDH Glycerin, VDH Luxury, Conk Bay Rum, Conk Lime.
Can you at least tell me how many are TSD soaps? I'm sure you've finished a lot of them too, but how many do you have currently?
Yes, TSD soaps are the majority. I'll have to wait until I get home to list. I know I'd forget something.
Samples probably not. Different scents and flavors, absolutely. I counted my TSD soaps individually because they are different scents.
Not counting my samples, but including the three I have on order, I have 16. Arko Crabtree & Evelyn - Sienna D.R. Way too many. I'm guessing 20+. I don't like counting my straight razors or soaps and creams. It might indicate I have a problem.

You guys have a lot of soaps. Currently I have 4 and they are all in rotation. I just never liked spending a lot on soaps when I can get great performers for relatively meager prices. The most I have spent on soap was the Klar Kabinett, but it was only $20 for 500 grams (about 5 pucks). Williams Mug Soap (Vintage) Colgate Cup Soap Klar Kabinett Arko Shave Stick
Okay, more than I thought. 44 if I counted right. No particular order, just how they happen to be in my rotation. On this list they are sorted by TSD and OTHER, though. PanChango, excellent advice but I can't follow it. Truthfully, I could be happy with Harris and MWF or vintage Williams. I think I used Williams for about 30+ years, then I found internet shaving forums while looking for straight razors and lost my mind. I never knew there were so many shaving soaps.
