Fresh bread is step 1 step. Step 2 spread Jif extra crunchy peanut butter on one slice. Step 3 spread Smuckers seedless strawberry jam Step 4 OM NOM NOM
the perfect pb&j slice fresh bread butter peanut butter creamy Peter pan smuckers grape jelly slice fresh bread
I am sure it has been around a while, but the wife recently bought Peter Pan Creamy with honey - Oh my - I could almost make a sandwich without the jelly.
Sir, there are 2 types of people in this world; smooth peanut butter people and crunchy peanut butter people. I sir am a smooth peanut butter person. You sir are a crunchy peanut butter person. There can be no middle ground on this as you are either one or the other. However, I am in agreement with your brand of peanut butter as Jif is the best. Your preparation method and jam selection are excellent! I commend you on your sandwich and hope you enjoy it! I see compromises on the horizon. If smooth peanut butter people can coexist with crunchy peanut butter people, why can't Washington work things out?
Has anyone tried a grilled pb&j? Make it like a normal pb&j, but spread a little margarine or butter on each side and grill it like a grilled cheese sandwich. Delicious!
Grilled or toasted adds to it I agree. But I am in the smooth group, but it has to be Jif. I also throw potato chips in between the slices of bread, the pb and jam hold them in place, as well for a little more salty goodness.
Crunchy, natural-style peanut butter. With homemade orange marmalade or strawberry jam. On sesame toast. Grilled (as one does with a grilled cheese)
aldi makes a natural creamy that is far superior in taste w/out the xtra stuff instead of jelly, i use nestle toll house morsels semi-sweet mmmmmmm u can even nuke it for awhile or use bacon and bannana
Pb&j is American soul food...2nd favorite is grilled peanut butter with creamed honey mixed together on fresh homemade sourdough bread, lays potato chips on the side...enough said Jif or Peter pan or adams all natural I mean why should we deprive ourselves of such greatness.
