How to prevent razor burn when shaving with cartridges?

    While I agree that the symptoms as described above do need to be treated, the cause of the symptoms need to be addressed or else we are fighting a never ending war.

    Or find another way to stop bleeding in the first place.

    If the stains don't wash out my grandfather would advise to cut them out with scissors... :D

    But all in all: if your shaves end up in such a blood bath, you might consider to change your technique. What do you do for preparations? Consider to take a hot shower first. That way the beard hairs get a bit softer so they get cut more easily. Use pre-shave oils or balms. And if you want to use carts, perhaps slowing down the shave might help. Further there is the above mentioned styptic pencil or alum block to stop the bleeding after the shave.
