To hear my wife complain, the humid, just above freezing temperatures we're having are far worse than the lake effect cold she had outside of Detroit. Yeah, right.

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

I would be a bit skeptical also, but it is colder here than I care for. I just wish the sun would come out.

I may be out in Golden for a couple days next June....scope the place out. Joining my family later for a trip to Estes.

I hear you. We haven’t seen a high of zero (F) for a week. Haven’t broken below -40 though. I had -39 last week on the way to work last week.

But it is clear, calm, crisp and old school. Heck, I use to wait for the school bus in this weather with a little dabadoo in my hair, a baseball cap and hi tops. The 80’s rocked.

    -37 and 67% humidity? How??

In Houston, it's roughly 58 degrees and 90% humidity. the normal "It could rain" percentage. Tonight might drop to 31, because the front is supposed to push through tonight, leaving tomorrow clear and sunny. It's been stalled on top of us for... a while.

The prediction is that we're getting the warmest New Year's Eve ever. Hopefully it will stay dry as well, but there the forecasts are a bit less optimistic.

Just double checked. Tonight won't be that cold, but tomorrow _is_ the cold front, and New Year's Eve will be heading down to the freezing mark, or below.

Ik handel graag met jou ;) but the correct word in this context is "ruil"; "ik ruil met je" means "I'll trade places with you".

Ah, bedankt! (Google trans. helped me with the verb.)

Off to the real dictionary.... :sport026:

Ruilen = to trade (to exchange)
Handelen = to trade (to do business with)

    OK... got it!

And now, back to our regular weather-related programing.... :D

It's been in the teens on Long Island. To make matters worse my 1973 heating system kicked the bucket and I've been using a space heater. Just got the new heating system installed, enjoying heat, wallet lighter.

Snowy, windy.....need supplies at the nearby supermarket, but I bet everyone and their uncle-in-law will be there.

Not as cold today, but still you know it's winter. Unbelievably it's supposed to get to 51 Friday.

Just beware that the melted butter may short out the electronics. Don't ask me how I know. :(
