Well, today is supposed to be mostly below freezing, with sleet already hitting the windows. I'm probably going to have to drive in it because one customer doesn't want to leave her house, and she can't get her remote working. *sigh*

And you just know that it's going to be a battery issue. :(

No, I'm kind of certain it's a 'I know my username and password' mistake issue.

I have several different citrus trees, and not sure how much damage they will have. My wife is only concerned about her favorite, a Kumquat tree.

Loquats tend to recover fine from the freeze. dunno about kumquat.

Our house inlet pipe is frozen, so we have no water. I'll be going out to see what I can do with it in an hour or so. Maybe strap a heating pad to the pipe. If I can get the water flowing, it should take care of the rest of the ice.

Managed to thaw out the feed from the street into the house. (there's a two pipe section that's exposed). We have water again.

Took a space heater outside, set it up on a board about 8 inches away from the pipe and valve that froze up. fired it up and let it run. By an hour later, we had water again.

The next few days are going to be warmer and.. Ryx can guess this one... raining. I still need to get on the roof and patch a seal around the attic fan. Some of the boards are suffering from rot because of it.
