Yeah, it's hot here in Tucson but when my friends back east ask me how I can stand it I tell them in the summer time they do the same thing there that we do here; live in a/c, drive in a/c, shop in a/c and dine in a/c. Plus in the winter time we probably won't see any show and if we do it's a dusting that'll be gone by noon.

The worst heat I ever experienced was back in 1992 when my wife and I spent one week in the month of July at Livingston, Texas. I learned the huge difference between dry climate and humid climate.

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

Yeah, it's actually not too bad now, but it's not pleasant when the dewpoint gets in the 70's.

It'll probably get hot next month. It's been a few years since it's really been hot, though.

It's hot in the SW USofA! Can I get a witness? Headed for 100 near Denver on Sunday, a cool evening stroll in the park compared to points South.

Currently at Henderson, Colorado, USA... Stargazing with a planetarium app under variably cloudy skies, my actual thermometer reads 66F(19C) at 23:11, light SW wind with small gusts, falling temps have the humidity up to 70%.

Not what was forecast! Supposed to be sunny and 70, gorgeous when we got up...by 10am it was windy, 48-52 and rain as if it were being poured from a bucket. But tomorrow is forecast for sunny and 70, believe it when I see it. Love the PNW.

It's fun isn't it? We didn't break the record but we got to 119 today. I have avoided going outside.

  13. Damn I need to get myself to the States! Summer here lingers round, on a good summer maybe averaging 25-28C (about 77-82F), but this year so far we've barely scraped 20C (68F). Tomorrow's looking like 18C/64F ("feels like" 14C/57F) :(

You might want to reconsider that:

Pretty much the same here in NYC. Thank goodness for central air-conditioning (and reflective blinds.)

I despise Houston summers. But, I adjust. Nice cold rinse off showers are our friends, down here.
