I pray you folks get some much needed rain, I completely understand what you mean about being in a drought and Forest fires.
It was sunny and lovely on Saturday and dropped 25F with 40 mph winds and our first snow showers of the year today.
As I sit here at the computer I look out over my property covered by hundred foot tall douglas firs and western red cedars.. Off course it is also over cast with a light drizzle. Typical northwest day but thats also why I have these huge trees to look at.
Move that location marker over a hundred miles or so, and that's me. The rain started on Friday and hasn't stopped yet.
This week near Denver, Colorado, USA ...warm, then cold, then really cold. then mild. A little snow in between.
27 deg F this morning. Coldest yet this year. Lots of snow in the mountains (Olympics and Cascades) nearby (can see it from my house) with heavy snows predicted over the next 24 hours. Mountain passes will probably get over 2 feet tonight. Living right here on the salt water at sea level we probably won't see anything except a flurry. Will be a good night for a fire in the wood stove, watch Thursday Night football and sip bourbon.
Sounds like a plan. There will be football watching, but no bourbon. School night. 'Cause you know ya can't drink just one
Nope not just one - almost half time and I'm on my second glass. There may even be a third during the second half. But then being retired - all I need to do tonight is walk about 30 feet to the bedroom from where I'm sitting.
