Heaviest rainfall in years - we're drowning here. This is our street - sewage system has pretty much reached its limit
250 l /square meter (that's approx. 10 inches of rain) over the last 24 hours. That's more than we usually get the whole month of June. They say the rainfall will stop tomorrow though.
Wow. I hope it doesn't cause any long term damage. I mean, I believe that New Orleans got more than that just over a week ago, but that's _normal_ for the gulf coast (off and on. Not every day)
Beautiful cool day to prep the house for paint. Started off in the high 50's ended up at 72. It was supposed to rain around noon, but the sun was shining. Whole house preped and tomorrow the color goes on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Warm but tomorrow and Friday are going to he hot. I "love" working outdoors, especially in the summer.
*snork* I meant that I was out today, driving around with the windows down, and it didn't seem too bad. Didn't bother turning on the A/C for most of it. Even when I was outside working, it was 'hot', but didn't seem like the normal sauna.
Well, now that's it's cooled off a bit it's time to go on the patio and smoke a pipe after dinner. I'll have to take a glass of Chardonnay to help cool me off.
Lol, feels like 100. I hate when it's in the 70s, God bless you. I went down to North Carolina last October, and it was to warm for me then. I imagine Texas is even warmer. Friendly people down south, but I can't take the weather. I'd have to visit again later in winter. I did try a local beer that wasn't bad though. Shotgun Betty. Man it was gorgeous down there, with all those pine trees. I'm rambling now. A Yankee fell in love with the south, how'bout that.
