Just flew in from family vacation. And boy my arms are tired. But seriously folks, the airlines these days are like a Greyhound® bus with wings. Thanks a lot, I will be here all week and don't forget to tip your waitstaff and bartenders.
The missus and I went to the movies Friday night and saw Mr. Peabody and Sherman. I found the movie delightful. It was clean, smart, and had a good lesson for the kiddos. There were a couple of "poop" jokes, but they were actually well played and quite amusing, even though I usually frown upon potty humor. I did feel a little awkward though, there were several times in the movie where Peabody makes bad puns; I was literally the only person in the theater laughing--and I couldn't stop giggling at them. I don't know if everybody else wasn't smart enough to get them, or if I'm just lame enough to think appreciate the humor. I'm betting on the latter.
Then Saturday night I flipped on the TV to find The Devil AND Miss Jones (not to be confused with The Devil IN Miss Jones; two totally different movies!), which I had never seen before. It's pretty much the original "Undercover Boss" story. I was sucked in instantly. I find it hard to believe that audiences don't still want movies like that today.
