Ending the month with a close call. A few minutes ago, I almost stepped on this guy in my bare feet. Too close............

 

Since he looks dead, would it have been a problem? Or was he alive when you almost stepped on him?

From the internet, that looks like a Bark Scorpion, which can be dangerous. I'm in the Houston area and we don't have many scorpions. How many scorpions do you see in a year and how big an issue are they>

 

He was still alive Erik, but not by much. His stinger was still very active..........
I have seen 3 here in the house in the last six months. They are a regular visitor in this area.

This one was in better shape when I came across him.

 

Buttermilk batter and a little panko breading should take care of him. Well, that and the deep fry.

 

I don't think the buttermilk batter and panko are pat of the diet.

 

The day got of it a rocky start. My knee, though getting better, still gives out on me once in a while. Unfortunately, today it happened when I was getting ready for a shower, so I fell in the bathroom. I wasn't really hurt, just shaken up. Just to be safe, I used the shower bench today.

 

Oof. Glad you're OK, it could have been awful.

Yes, "Lopen met de hond" is possible as well, as in: "Loop jij even met de hond?" Another way of saying "walk the dog" is: "Ik doe nog even een rondje met het hondje"
