I need to give some thanks:

God - thanks for designing the human body so well, and giving men wisdom to help that body heal.

Dr. Carlson - thanks for your consideration and conservative approach to surgeries.

Dr. DeGerness - thanks for using your skill on me.

I received word today that I am finally clear from a pretty serious sinus and upper jaw infection. It's been a long saga, and it started with a cracked root on a molar.

I am longer in pain or scared. Today I am better and grateful.

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

Here's hoping for the best for you. It's amazing how minor issues can escalate and make life miserable. I had an allergic reaction on my leg that lead to superficial thrombophlebitis followed by DVT. It's hell getting old.

Long day. Flew Sacramento-San Diego-Baltimore-Norfolk only to find out that the rental car I have had reserved for weeks, wasn't there. $52.00 cab ride to Virginia Beach later I'm in my hotel. Aaargh. Good night.

It's too early to tell how today is. But yesterday was great. I had a water-painting class in the morning. In the afternoon, I baked 2 dozen buttermilk biscuits to bring to the Tuesday night League shoot (week 3 of 5). The biscuits got me almost as much respect as my shoot- a personal best of 276/300.

My cold is finally breaking up(had it since last Friday). I can actually smell things again, which makes eating much more enjoyable. Also shaving. You don't realize how much the nose plays a part 'til it don't work.

Now if you only had some virtual mackerel to go with 'em, you'd be set.

    Great to hear!
Which why a beverage tastes better out of a glass than out of a bottle or can. Your nose is in the glass as you drink, allowing you to smell what you're drinking, thereby enhancing the flavor of your beverage.[/QUOTE]

My day started at 0040 (had to be at work by 0200...we're a bit short-handed and the schedule is all out of whack). Doing a 12 (just more to go into the savings), and had mah biscuit & sausage patty for breakfast at 0700. It's what, 0845? Five hours ten minutes to go. Hopefully, I won't have any chores to do when I get home and I can take a nap. But it's cool & sunny, I've got chili, tamales, rice & tortillas for lunch (and a pint of milk to kill the heartburn afterwards), all my fingers & toes, and I haven't vapor-locked recently.

    All is well.

Was expecting to be working in the rain pulling 1 1/2 miles of large phone cable into a pipe we drilled underground, but the building it was going to was struck by lightning in the terrible storm we had last night and was just about burnt to the ground. So looks like I have the day off instead of a long day.
