Yeah Shep, it took me a while to figure that place out, too. My wife's on it a bunch, but I still spend most of my internet time here. Just do a search for word challenge, you'll find it.

I don't do facebook. My wife does, but I try to avoid it and the other social websites as anything posted to your page can be grounds for termination if it is considered indecent by the wrong person. So the simplest thing is to never go there at all.

Wife is always complaining about people pushing aps on you all the time that she doesn't want.

So what is this World Challenge, you try to get friends from each country in the world?

I've been busy trying to get some plans finalized for a rally in May so I can get the reservations done.

Oh, and schoolin' Mini-Me in Scrabble! :D

Word Challenge....basically an online word jumble....

wow, I guess I'd get fired then....

sol92258 I have no earthly idea

I can see the dippers, Orion, and sometimes a few others, but all the trees makes it difficult to see everything

just think about how brilliant they were, without internet, satellites, planes, etc, to be able to see patterns, rotations, direction, etc. Astounding.
If you're interested in astronomy, check out Stellarium, I've shown my 8 year old and she loves it

Went to the new england aquarium today, it was pretty awesome

he puked up sand then went back under his rock, that was cool

these freaky little blurry things are photo-reactive jellyfish, when they have light, those little dark lines turn all sorts of pretty colors and they swim around, and when the light shuts off they go dark and drift

I'm still uploading photos so I'll put more up later

    here's some more

this big guy is a giant puffer fish of some sort, when his mouth was closed he had a super cute chubby face

the thing in the middle that looks like a drifting piece of a plant with lots of small leaves, that is a sea dragon. They look like aliens

on the bottom there are two sea dragons, a different type and they're a little hard to see. I think these sea dragons are some sort of sea horse that evolved interestingly

giant octopus that stuck his suckers on the tank wall

    that fish looks sad :(

I think the sign said that big guy is a wolf fish

slightly better picture of the seadragons

that thing is actually a worm

cuddlefish are so cute but they're actually squids, they really should call them cuddlesquids

You are right about that. Probably the main reason I avoided all these social websites for years as well. That and general privacy issues. However I dove in w/ both feet on these shave forums. After that the decision to go over there was easier. You control what you say and what you put up online so you just have to remain smart. It's always good to remind ourselves of the perils though. I really signed up to see if there were any long lost people I might find; truth is I'm not finding many.

Nice photo Steve. Sun's still up here! :D

Very nice pictures Jen. I am impressed that you got good pics of the sea-dragons Aquariums around here put them in round tanks that don't take good pics in low-light.

    gatto *Not a dude*

Thanks :D they actually are in a round tank, my main advantage at that aquarium was all of my photos were taken on my iphone which has no flash. you can't get good flash photos in a round tank ever in my experience.

Nope.. and in low light regular digital cameras don't do well without flash. I don't think I have tried using a camera phone on those. Will have to try it next time. Those are impressive pics for a camera phone. I wouldn't have thought it was your phone.

yeah give it a try, although in my experience with camera phones, they take worse low light photos then a digital camera. It really depends on the phone I guess. Personally the iphone 3G is the only phone I've had that takes a decent photo.

Well I will give it a try the next time I go to Shedd Aquarium. However, that will be a while. I think they will be closed for renovations during Spring break.
