Speaking of ebay....I now have 50 items in my watch list, 15 end in 24 hours. I'm determined I'm going to get a couple of things that's I really need for the rally. Even if I have to ask my aunt for an early birthday present. lol

 

Yeah, well, he's not the only one on the board.
You know, that's my super power... I want to be able to cloak eBay auctions so I don't get stuck bidding against everyone else. :happy102

That is usually less of a problem than the guy who is simply willing to bid more than I am for the item in question.
Seems to happen a lot on vintage razors.
I'm pretty good about setting a max I'm willing to pay and sticking with it. I don't get lured into the big bidding wars.

 

Me either. It's just frustrating as hell sometimes. I've discovered that if there's an item that there's plenty of on ebay, if you're patient (me? patient? ha!) one will slip through almost unnoticed and you can get it for a steal. Until then, I stay frustrated. But the win is so much sweeter!

 

Once in a while I luck into items that are listed either under a name that doesn't fit the "hot item" names that most people search for, but I'm hardly the only resourceful eBayer.

 

It's called patience...and taking the time to search...and search some more. I've also missed out on some steals because it slipped up on me and I forgot. A new pair of Oxtar boots went for $18 is one of the most recent. :angry032

Absolutely. I don't know that I'm worthy to shave with it, but that sure won't stop me. I almost feel like I need one of those japanese robes and and a head band, and that the blade should be brought out on a small block of bamboo by a Geisha. And maybe on that same block of bamboo would be a shot of sake, the still beating heart of a cobra, and fugu. Only then would the true power of the razor be unlocked.

 

1) you may consider editing your post, change your email to something like wchnu at yahoo dot com or something...humans can figure it out, spambots & such have a more difficult time....
2) maybe updated drivers for your wireless card, my mom's laptop was doing the same thing last night, updated drivers (and windows xp service pack 3), now connects fine

The smell from that slim case auction is getting stronger. Last night the high bid was 55 cents with 4 days to go. This morning, with three and a half days to go, it's up to $6.05. For an empty slim case. A private auction. For a case. Why?
