and that's why I don't mess with Linux..... I really don't feel like tinkering and tinkering with things....

well, not on my main [slash]box[/slash] PC, anyway....and now that I have 2, well, I just haven't had time to mess with it on the older one....

Oh yeah, now we're talkin' Shep's language. Nuthin' beats carnitas. Shredded pork with real guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream on a corn tortilla. Mmmmm Mmmmm....that's good eatin' there boys and girls!

Just opened up an account w/ ING; should fund tomorrow. Remember my thread about GE awhile back? It was down to something like $7.50 the other day. Back up to $10 today. Energy sector funds, bio-medical funds, banking funds....all are trading at ridiculously low levels. These are industries that have a future. They will rebound. If they don't the whole darned country went down the chute in which case it won't much matter anyway is how I look at it. This year is the time to be buyin' ladies and germs. I know the country is in a funk right now, but that's when the common man can get in on some elite stocks. Remember many people got rich, rich, rich during the Great Depression because they snapped up stocks on the cheap, cheap, cheap. Ok, sermon over. Let me just say this one last thing. You don't need big money to do this. 100 bucks a month, 50, 20, whatever you can afford. ING has a deal where you can buy fractions of stocks so if all you can afford is 1/8 of a stock today, then that's what you buy.

Our FB page is kind of slow today. Did we lose some members already? I thought I saw 34 the other day. It's at 17 now. Maybe I'm losing it; can't remember. So what's up tonight?

I may have to get some mexican food tomorrow. I am thinking truly authentic. Taco Bell. Just kidding. Shep quit throwing things at me. We have a pretty darn good restaurant in town and it is about due for my presence.

Ugh... my stomach has been grumbling something fierce since I mentioned carnitas.

    *sigh*...

I need to raid the fridge, but their isn't much there. I guess a Guiness will have to do. It is Brilliant after all!

As one of my college buddies would say 'there is a pork chop in every beer'

WTH? I can't say I ever heard of that one or want to drink a beer now either....

But, I think I may go out to the Mexican restaurant nearby to try real quick. If they don't have carnitas they will have something good I hope.

It was his way of saying he didn't need to eat and could sustain with just beer. I have to say, it seemed to work for him.

Arch is one of those distros that does a "rolling release" system instead of coming out with new releases every six months. Basically install once, and as long as you check in regularly, you're always up to date. Folks using Ubuntu or Fedora from a couple releases back don't get the updated packages without a reinstall with the new version.

No matter the flavor, WINE didn't play well with my newsreader of choice, or more importantly, Totally MAD. :D

    hmm, that sucks...
interesting about the updates, but at least with other Linux distros, a complete update doesn't require a restart like Windoze :D

oh, and I shall offer a testimony:
capsaicin nose spray feels exactly as you think it would....take your Pinaud's/whatever strongest aftershave you have, compare it with this, you won't even know you slapped your face!
    woooooo!
    I like it!
too bad my allergies are so bad right now that it didn't suffice tonight. I've read about this stuff for awhile, finally saw it today and decided to try it. It certainly did something, I'll have to wait til this really bad attack subsides though to get a true test unfortunately.
hmmmm, bad thought just hit me...capsaicin shave soap/cream and aftershave, for the truly crazy!
