I'd never heard of them before, so pulled out the sources for all knowledge, Wikipedia and Google Image Search :happy102

Fascinating... I would have never though of eating boiled ferns. They're pretty cool looking though. What do they taste like?

One thing Wikipedia had to say made me a little nervous: "Some ferns contain carcinogens, and Bracken has been implicated in stomach cancer."

Other than that, they sound great!

 

Everything I've read says that means Buster is a she... :ashamed001 What kind of fish is Buster?

did I tell you guys my old job came looking for me to offer me a summer position! It will be a nice amount of money that I'll be able to put away for the year.

I've never eaten fiddleheads, though I've seen them for sale many times. What do they taste like?

I'm going to make mushroom cookies and mushroom flavored candy and pass it off as normal cookies and candy to you and Ray.

we saute those in butter too. If you like cooked greens, you'd like them. Not bad dropped in a salad with a vinegarette either.

 

Thanks I'm excited about it. Honestly the job ends up cutting into my social time which I was hoping to enjoy this summer but I can still have a lot of fun even while working full time so it's ok

Yeah I know I'll be able to have fun. The only problem is that it's a regular 8-4:30 style job so I'll have to go to bed at a normal time or be very very sleepy . I know this sounds terrible but D&D comes before work so if my DM wants to run a session that goes from 5 PM to 5 AM on a tuesday I'll be there and I'll be tired at work. I made my D&D obligation before I accepted this job. Also.. the only way I could get fired is if I burn the building down. Even then I might not get fired.

I'm glad you like Buster, he's an interesting little fish. The Bowl I'm not a huge fan of, I want to get some black gravel and cover the rest of the bottom of the tank, that is the only thing that bothers me. I got him on Friday night
