    OK, good night everyone.

Oh, and Pam, the ball end handle on the NEW has the obligatory crack. Very small though...

I'm going to bed...right after I catch this cat and mount it on the lathe.....

I'm thinking of either trying that, or just parting off the bottom entirely, kind of a top-shaped brush, if anyone's interested in that.

Jen, you're right, the more time we do something, the better we get at it, right? Each time should be easier (unless you're hard headed like me)

In week one of the Old R89 vs. Long Tooth NEW battle (alternating days between the two razors), the blade of choice was ASTRA. And the R89 had its teeth handed to it by the long tooth NEW. Each razor had three shaves with an Astra blade. In all three shaves, the NEW outperformed, the R89. Neither caused any irritation, but the NEW did the job closer and quicker each day.

This week the blade is 7 O'Clock Sharp. We are four days into the comparison (two shaves each razor). On shave one they were equal, on shave two, the R89 just outshaved the long toothed NEW by the smallest of margins. The last round of the yellow blades starts tomorrow.

Stay tuned for the last installation of battle R89 vs. Long toothed NEW when the blade of choice will be 7 O'Clock Blacks.

Waiting on the sidelines are the short toothed NEW and the slant waiting their turns against this battle's champion. Results will be re-played on EPSN 8 "The Ocho".

Hmm...if you go down that road you could mount a new handle for it out of a complimenting wood.

annnddd in this corner of the world I have the Old R89 vs the New Short tooth. Performance with the Astra blade was difficult to determine a clear victory. An independent evaluator is on his way over to determine final outcome. (this will NOT be televised ANYWHERE) Stay tuned right here to the HYD at TSD to find out if the left leg or the right leg is the winner!

Fuzzy, it was good to see you for a bit. Hope all is working again soon.

    Indeed...

Buster is a stealth ninja betta! Love that eye peering through the leaves. Kind of reminds me of Arty Johnson (before your time). Velly Intellestinc.

Drove to Manchester and back tonight.

It's ridiculously cold and windy. Why does it still feel like January?

Because it has been one of those winters. Just look at poor Tracy's weather. Everything is shut down there for the storm's and snow.

Most of them are as cracked as I am. ;)

A little epoxy will keep it together. Besides a little crack just adds texture to life.

Be you epoxy or crack, you are part of keeping this place what it is and running "bump"ingly on track. Thank you all.

Now, I shall head to bed before I get any weirder than that last line.

This winter has been nuts. I'm still expecting it to snow at least once more here.

I could distinctly feel the wind pushing against the car as I was driving tonight.

Sorry to hear about the brush Jim and Jen. :(

    How's everyone doing tonight?

Yeah it's a bummer, 2nd time something happened to that handle. I have to give Jim a lot of credit for already making it twice, I'm starting to think it's just not meant to be.

I know what you mean about winter, temperatures have been all over the place here in buffalo, one day it's 50 the next day it's 20.

I'm doing good tonight Dom, how are you?

Pretty good, Jen. A little bit tired, but good.

Made pork adobo with the girlfriend tonight before heading out to Manchester. I'm not huge into pork, but I did like the flavor.

How's the college food there, Jen?

Also... best of luck on your brush. It may be haunted.

The college food isn't terrible here. I totally exploited the dining hall tonight, it was chicken finger night and they're big breaded chicken pieces that all the to go places use in sandwiches and I like them. I got dinner to go and literally filled a to go box with chicken fingers so now I can make lunch for at least a week. I'm not big on pork either because sometimes it can get dry but I know what you mean, when it has a good flavor it usually comes out pretty good.

For those of you that are a bit techy, found an awesome torrent on tpb. Pretty much every version of windows from dos to xp with server in there as well.
