Evenin' ladies and germs. Shep has a new pair of sneakers for the gym. Nothing feels quite as good as new sneakers.

I also am the proud new owner of a Yamaha guitar. Yes that's right. I'm taking up the guitar as a hobby. I have absolutely no musical talent, acumen, background or ability. It's just something I decided to try. I have never had much of an artistic streak in me and have been envious of those that do. So I'm taking the plunge. First report: my frickin' fingertips are killing me. Can barely type this post. Hopefully it gets better! ::git

That's about it. Back to work tomorrow. They changed up the months for our yearly baton training. So even though we just finished up a bunch of classes, I have like four more to teach over the next couple weeks. Bruise time again.

'grats on the new axe! I've had a few guitars over the years, and tried to teach myself how to play but I never stick with it long enough. Keep practicing and you'll build up your calluses on your fingertips, that should help some. It's slow going until you get 'em though.

Thanks. My goal is to learn the ropes on this cheapie (it does sound good; just cheap price wise), and then move up to an electric someday. I want to jam! :D

All I have on hand right now is the 21 I bought on Saturday, still awaiting ink, and some Pilot Varsities I picked up over the last couple of days. I wasn't in full-on pursuit of the pens until that Parker dropped in my lap.

    Hey Dave,

In 1917, Sheaffer was making lever-fillers. The Sheaffer lever was the patent that really made the company profitable. In fact, I think you'd be hard pressed to find any Sheaffer eyedroppers. Waterman (and a zillion other brands) yes...

    'night Bill...

Yep, even HR Sheaffers... There are a LOT of very cool Waterman's ED pens though. Take a look at Safety Pens sometime. They're eyedroppers with a very cool mechanism and they won't leak in your pocket.

    Just beware of FPAD... ;)

FPAD can get quite costly. Try to avoid it at all costs.

That's pretty cool, Dom. I'm not going to start barking like a dog at work tomorrow or anything, am I?

One of my buddies has a Federal that a bunch of us joked about for a month or so. We call it the Gray Torpedo. It's ugly as sin, but it's a great, comfortable writer. A big pen that's a joy to use. I'd guess that Federal was one of the tons of sub-brands of National (or else a competitor). I'm really fond of off brand FPs for some reason. It's probably something to do with the Scot side of my family...

    Goodnight everybody...

Very nice. Love the name as well....

No, I suppose there isn't... but what about chilled monkey brains?

Morning everyone... not much to say today either...

I can't believe the post office some days. I have a package that I sent from NW Indiana to Central Illinois that has been out for over a week and still hasn't arrived. Cooncatbob sent out my bulldog handle on Saturday and it was here Monday morning. eh? BTW: it is every bit as nice in person as his pics show and it has a good healthy heft to it.

Dom: the file sounded pretty good until I hit post (d'oh!). I will have to start it back up again....
