Howdy. Been a busy couple days so I haven't been around much. Not even gonna try to catch up in here so if I missed anything the answer is 'no' unless it involves sending me money in which case......

A very remote possibility I could get a transfer to the Oregon Pacific coast. That would be pretty sweet. I'm not holding my breath though. Competition will be steep I'm thinking. One thing's for sure though, if you don't put in, you won't get anything. So I threw my name in the hat.

Thanks Matt. Your package will go out on Monday. Gonna pilfer off a vial of SCS X4 EDT to you that Shawn sent me. I already have it so don't need that one. I tried one of the Floris scents today. Wow that is some good stuff, and I'm not a cologne guy at all. Very soft, subtle, aromatic. I could see buying a bottle. I think they're rather pricey however if memory serves. This was the Cefiro scent. Good stuff.

I want to try it on setting 9 just for the hell of it. Setting 7 and 8 gave a close shave w/ a bit of blood letting so I'm sure 9 won't be any better. 5 and 6 seemed to be good. I need to get one of these. I'll put it in the box for you Monday. If I don't, you may never see it again.

 

No worries....keep it longer if you like. Actually, I insist: it'd be good to compare to the Slim when it arrives - the head geometry on the two are quite different...hold them side by side to compare - pretty neat. It's not just the handle that separates them...

Besides, it'll give me an excuse to visit Phx.... haha, I can hear myself explaining it to SWMBO now... "Honey, he's got my razor and won't give it back! I have to fly out there and get it back!!!" :happy102 :happy102 :happy102

Ahhhhh a fresh hair cut is niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I saw something nice today,,, A buddy of mine has a antique shop. Didn't think that he had any razors but found a nice Gem Featherweight inthe case that i picked up. While I was there he showed me a fountain pen and mech. pencil set in a case. needs cleaning up. I know nothing about Fountain pens but it did look nice.

 

:happy102 you guys will do anything to go somewhere and shop for shaving stuff.

It is not just the guys that are like that thank you. i wanted some china buffet tonight .. ended up with Taco Bell. grrrrrrr Oh well.

Sorry about the headache. I'll be sure to turn the TV down when I watch the F1 qualifying in the morning.

Looks like I'm best served to send this pen off for servicing. Missing replacement parts and too many necessary tools and supplies to make it viable to continue to attempt repairs on my own. Whoever thought that simple plain talcum powder would be so hard to find?

Plus, the money spent for remote servicing will get me a better looking and functioning pen than anything I could end up with on my own.

 

I suppose that makes sense. Just for the record... don't let me near any of those pens. I don't need to start that hobby.
