I have never tried a Merkur either. The Tech and SS were the mildest razors I've had.

 

I don't get the Merkur numbering yet...probably b/c I don't own any nor do I plan to....maybe some day. If the 11c looks like an Old Type, then they're the same....that's the extent of my Merkur knowledge - the 1904 is an Old Type clone....that and they make slants



Just got back from little one's soccer game....she played great - scored 3 of the team's 6 goals! w00t!!!!

 

Very nice, Bong! I'd suggest maybe adding a slim adjustable, or even a SA to the mix. 7 O'clock blades of some type might be good too (I don't know which are supposed to be the smoothest, I've only tried the blacks).

 

That is a nice looking plane. One of the first model's I built from the plastic kits. Unfortunately the Klingon's attacked sometime ago and it died a glorious death.

That's our gal. Gotta love that.

I agree, I think a 1912 would be a great addition to that selection...

All's well here. Went out to a couple of tag sales, but nothing doing. But I *did* get a heads up at another one coming up next weekend nearby. Setup is ongoing this weekend.

Trying to decide if I want to grill this evening. Pork chops are marinating already, but mowing this morning kicked my butt.

We grilled some chicken breasts on the BBQ last night. Good eats. It's starting to get hot here though so standing over the grill can be a chore. Plus little miss Jackie has dirt, rocks, toys, sticks and an assortment of other crap strewn from one end of my patio to the other so it's a mine field walking out there!

I had to run yesterday. My dog bit her 3rd dog and its owner went ballistic on my wife and our friend. I had to rush home and calm him down. We are putting our dog down but state law requires 10 day observation and rabies check so we have to pay for the vet to house her because I do not want to see her anymore.

Saw the Cubs/Sox question. Cubs. Rest of my house, Sox. I prefer baseball over either team.

 

and its NFL draft time so I will not be around alot so I can follow every word of it.

 

My wife had hinted that it would be OK for me to stop at a Walgreens on the way home today to snatch up some more Nivea balm. Half way through the austism walk she recanted. I have a bad rash all over my face. The only thing different today was the fact that I used the Nivea balm. Yeah, it burned a bit when I put it on, but I just figured I was being too aggressive with the RR. Oops!

Had a box waiting at the door, old spice mug, very good condition SS, another shave king, and a cruddy condition SA - handle has chunks out of the enamel - but might be usable for parts. It looks like it is an R R date code? odd...

 

Shep: Yeah, grilling in 100°+ weather wasn't too fun. But I don't think that'd stop me. I grill in the snow, and that isn't too much fun, either....

Ray: Sorry to hear about your dog. That sucks.

Justin: My face didn't like the Nivea Balm, either. I'd put it on and it'd start burning and itching...much like the MWF does to my face....


I'm watching people getting tasered on TruTV.... fun stuff!

I saw a video of a redneck on a lawn mower who had been drinking more then a little. He was stopped by a local sherrif that had stopped him before. That led to a very funny taseing before it was over.

 

Its great to have my family on here. You guys and girls know who you are.

Good luck to the Bears in the draft. I don't know who I will be pulling for this year. Grew up in WI, so a cheesehead by birth, but last seasons crud soured me on them. (although I still like a good curd). Around here there is as much Bears/Colts drama as there is Sox/Cubs drama... And I guess if I had to side with either them... I would be ..... ambiguous...

 

Bears are okay in my house. but I am a Chiefs fan anyway. See my draft thread in the sports section.
I like baseball more than Cubs or Sox.

Stuck in the house today (wife's got the car and headed for destinations north). So, just hanging out in the pen shop. Polishing Brian's Estie and TD this afternoon, then moving on to some stuff that's been waiting too long in the queue. Guess I'll crank up the IPOD and make an evening of it while the Lasagna heats up.

Can't wait to get the grill from the old house to the new one. It means I'll be cooking more, but I love to grill. Should be firing it up in the next month or so...

 

Yes, that was an awesome night fighter. I like the F-82 also.
