Got the F1 race from Bahrain going with morning coffee.

My sister called from Orlando. Her car was broken into overnight. Nothing was taken. She thinks they got spooked and took off, but I said she should feel insulted they didn't think she had anything worth swiping.

 

Good morning everyone. Just got in after a quick last minute flight. Apparantly, my TOBS Sandalwood Shave Cream is a threat to national security and had to be confiscated by the dickheads at the airport. $16 down the drain because of these asinine rules. On the bright side, I came home to a couple of packages, so that eases the blow of losing one of my shave creams.

Yes sir. It arrived yesterday I believe. There was a delay in getting the SS out to you. It didn't make it out until Friday, but I sent it to you Priority. Hopefully it hits you on Tuesday.

Tom, Bill, thanks for the support. I loved the dog but was not attached like the wife. From the first month we got her I saw her aggression and spent the last 2 years trying to convince the wife to get rid of her. I tell the wife I am always right.:scared001 Usually I am not but this time I was. I hope she realized it.

Corey, I hate the airport rules too. I lost shampoo from them. I keep all the sample bottles I get and fill them up for travel. I bought some afteshave balm away from home and was terrified it would be taken on the way back. thankfully lazy TSD agents at my lane.

 

We had one day of spring, then back to winter. Then one day of summer and now fall weather in Chicago. Cold and rainy. Supposed to be rainy, not cold though.

 

But Ray, isn't that what make us love Chicago? Have a year's worth of weather in one weekend.

In one day you can spot geese going north and south for winter. They just end up being confused and spent the next few months here.

had my 2nd straight shave in a row today...1st time doing two back to back - so far I've been going every other day....It's slowly coming together :happy088

 

I just realized I never posted that info on shaving with a straight for you. How's it coming along? Any specific questions?

 

I can't think of anything specifically right now....how long until you started going ATG? I think I'm going to wait a while - I seem to be getting better 2 pass straight shaves than I do 3 pass DE shaves...

 

Only a couple shaves before I started going against the grain. I did a lot of reading, research, and asked a lot of questions before starting.

I'm sure you already figured this out, but stretching the skin taught with one hand while using the other to hold the straight makes for much better shaving. Also, if you haven't yet, try to become used to using both hands to hold the straight. You'll be able to cover more angles that way.

Remind me next time I'm online (don't have the camera I took the pictures with on my right now) and I'll post the pictures of how I hold my straight while going S-N and across my neck.

 

OK, thanks Dom. I'm still trying to find the best hand holds on some of the angles, but I'm slowly getting it.... pics could be very helpful

 

WOOHOO... took a trip into lafayette today., New shoes for the Bunny. and a few more things for the shave cabinet. I picked up some of that pinaud Musk that I think Shep likes. also some of the hair tonic. Found William pucks for .91 so picked up a few of those. Let the world go to hell I got shave products for years now.
