yeup...we had that while I still worked at that district, the past two years have been a bit of a challenge though, missed some of the kids' assemblies, but that will all be better now...except now my mom and sister, who just started subbing and will likely get an aide job there next year, they'll miss some of the things now
oh well, everything can't be perfect all the time

....the district hadn't tried to get too big for it's britches, and listen to a board of egotistical, self-serving, and narrow-minded folks with personal conflicts with certain other people, none of this ridiculousness would have happened.
Instead, we had immature, poor leadership that made self-pleasing decisions, and now the district's in a mess. Most of the best staff have left, like Doug said, surrounding districts are getting prime quality folks.
oh well

I still love the district, as a graduate and all, and not really bashing anyone particular, but just a lot of bad decisions were made, and now they've got to lie in the bed they made.

Good afternoon my peeps. Sorry I've been absent for most of this week. As I mentioned a few weeks back, my duties have changed, and I don't have the time to browse the threads that I once had. Kind of a bummer, but it's nice to see you all carrying on.

Actually today we had to hit the doc. The missus isn't healing up so well from the gall bladder surgery. He needed to poke and prod her some more to see what's up. Still no answers there, but hopefully soon.

Yup, I use the things we have sent each other as well. In fact, I think the injector will probably get used again tomorrow!

Winter is wet and nasty, but the other seasons are a lot like the rest of the midwest...fairly hot, and humid. Bad thunderstorms, but not daily deluges of rain. Actually, we do get a lot of wind due to the lake and as a result it is actually cooler as you get up by the lakeshore.

Alrighty. I thought I remembered Ray talking about the weather there before and that it was always rainy. I may have been confusing it with somewhere else: I've only spent a week in Chicago and don't remember with much detail what the weather was like.
