I had no business trying to string that SOB right now. I needed to make a longer string for it and let it adjust first. But no, I had to...

You might be able to remove the shell, depending on what type of Aerometric it is. Some are just sealed with an o-ring near the clutch ring. Warm it up with a blow drier before you try turning it. You might have to soak everything really well to remove the ink before you put it back together. Getting the sac protector off is another matter. I wouldn't recommend trying it. Actually, I wouldn't recommend removing the shell either unless you're prepared to align the collector, nib, and shell when you put it back together. It's not too hard, but you should see a picture first.

Sure. They're the same as those in Aerometrics. I'll bet there's a blowapart diagram on Binder's site. Here's a picture of a Parker "51" Vac in pieces (on my bench):
