Good morning everyone!

Well it is a good morning now, when I first boot the computer all I got was a garbled screen. Then I recalled downloading a new ATI driver. Kripes, I hate trying to troubleshoot from a linux command prompt - I have forgotten all of those commands since college... I can still easily recall "ps -ux" and
kill -9". I must have orphaned a lot of processes back in the day that needed to be squashed out of existence....

Oh well... my video turned into a crazy static newt... but it got better

For the IT people... ATI drivers don't appear to work in 9.04, and for the most part the built in driver is OK. However, in some graphical applications, my CPU is maxing out at 100% and then the temperature is spiking up to critical causing everything to come to a noisy slow down. Any ideas? Its a shame the ATI drivers don't work as I have a 8X AGP card with 512 ram that should take the load off of the CPU. ugh!
