I didn't find the ordering process confusing. I click on what I want, my cart shows me what I clicked on, my invoice shows me what is in the box when I get it. Lo an behold what is in the box is whatever I clicked on that went into my cart and now is in the box on my desk. If I like/don't like something that is in the box cuz I clicked on it, I can do a little more clicking and tell customer service how come I like/don't like what is in the box. Customer service clicks a couple of times and tells me to shut up and enjoy what's in the box. Too easy.

This would be funny, if it weren't true. :(

    Hi JoAnna,

I have ordered from you 3-4 times. Let me tell you about my experiences:

A.) Your site is one of the easiest to navigate that I have ever used (and I am technologically challenged :().

B.) Your prices are very fair for products you carry other than your own.

C.) Your prices are out and out generous on your own products.

D.) Your shipping is FAST and the products are very well packed.

E.) There is no problem with me nor, I bet, with the vast number of your TSD customers.

F.) Please take heart; quality will win out. ;)

Also, from your quote of the man, he sounds as if he is either a foreigner or not someone born in the U.S.A., where you are located. Perhaps, in his country, on-line service is quite poor with little or no customer service and he has developed the unfortunate habit of hitting hard and fast. I am in no way defending his actions, just throwing out a suggestion.

Again, as far as I'm concerned, all of my transactions have shown the TSD store to be a class act. :happy096:happy088:happy088:happy088:happy088

I didn't think of that. I believe that I might have been a little harsh then in my original statement. Maybe there might have been a language issue (I don't feel there was but I can't assume). But I still believe that you can't take this to heart. You can see that you have quite a few loyal and understanding customers that highly recommend your products and your customer service.

Yep, that's the impression I also got from his replies.

Thank you for the kind words. I realize a lot of my customers are happy, at least with the customer service. It's just these type of situations that really get to me.

My one reply to the dispute was in no way rude. Yet he felt the need to threaten bad word of mouth.

JoAnna, I'd just file this under the same category that I have for so many other issues where courtesy and clear communication should have worked out the problem long before litigiousness even came into the picture.

It'll only cost you $100 for a direct link to a definition of that word, Bram.

This is mine, Micah. 21 inch frame hybrid. I've added fenders to it.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that, Mike. That definitely puts the cost of my bike repairs into perspective.

    Guilty.

    Welcome to HYD!

Hey Shep. Best of luck with the move.

Make the soup and eat it chilled!

Glad he's okay, Mike. At least you're prepared for anything in the future.

    I can arrange that.

Wow. I was gone most of the weekend and expected to have to read through a lot more to catch up.

Freddy - nice to see you in here.

I've had nothing but good experiences with JoAnna and her storefront. I placed an order even before I started posting here and got the same great treatment.

I do want to address a statement you made, however. Saying that the man is a foreigner does not fly in my books. There are a number of individuals from countries outside the US who are wonderful people to deal with. Please forgive me if it seems as if I'm attacking you. I'm not trying to do that so please forgive me if I come off too harsh.

I've lived all over the world and will say that people in the US are just as arrogant, stubborn, etc. as the people in other countries. Some of the most hospitality and kindness I have seen (other than in the Midwest and South) has been in the Caribbean and in Europe.

It seems like you're saying that there are entire countries of inconsiderate people out there. There are plenty of impatient, stupid, ignorant people here in America; and I think that this might be a better explanation for the behavior of the individual JoAnna brought to our attention.

I agree. Whether you're born in America or England, France or Germany, some people just weren't brought up right.

No offense taken, Burningdarkness. I agree with absolutely everything you wrote about people. I tried to be as careful as I could and that is why I started with the word, "Perhaps." I in no way meant to imply that people from different countries are less than Americans. I have lived in three distinct parts of the U.S.A. (Brooklyn, New York, Toledo, Ohio, and San Diego, California). I have also traveled to and through a good part of Western Europe as well Hungary before the fall of communism, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong (while still a British Crown Colony), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Singapore.

It would be pretty hard to live and travel to all of those places and not see the good and bad in everybody (including myself). I have seen "The Ugly American" in action overseas because things weren't just like they were back home. Believe me, it can be quite embarrassing to watch.

I apologize if my comments to JoAnna were misconstrued but honestly, no offense was intended.

    Thanks,

    Freddy

For me the mention of the person possibly being a foreigner, doesn't imply anything of good or bad manners, but rather a language barrier/mis-communication possibility. Plain and simple; things get lost in translation.

I actually think that your comments about this person were better then mine.:ashamed001

    Shep The Shep Abides

Happy Sunday everyone! I spent yesterday packing up all my clothes and other stuff. I also special ordered a bag just to transport the shaving stuff; it will have to be marked "handle w/ care"! :D

Three days left at work here, a couple days off, a couple days driving and bam: I'll be in new digs next Monday. I's ready.

Is anyone else to the point where they can't be bothered whipping up soap lather anymore? I've taken to grabbing for the creams every morning just to speed things up a bit. Maybe I'm just too lazy.

    Time for supper. Ciao. :happy088

I don't have the time for slow shaves anymore. I really don't have the time to fiddle with the soap to water ratio, but I still need the slickness provided by soaps. This is why I superlather. I can get the slickness I need and also get a thick lather in half the time, without any messing around with water content.

So yeah, I'm there with you.

Call me Dom (or Dominic), Freddy.

Thanks for the clarification. I may have misinterpreted your comments a little bit myself.

You know you have a problem when you have to special order a bag to fit your shaving supplies.

Safe driving, Shep. I hope to see you around here more often once you're settled in.

Can't say I'm at the point where I can't be bothered whipping up soap lather. I prefer creams (usually for the smell and because of TOBS, Salters, Old Spice, etc.) a little more than soap, and change what I use based on what scent I feel for.

    Enjoy dinner, Sheppy.
