    Good morning everyone. It's the weekend! Woo Hoo!

    If your still slammed, there is no need to rush on my order

    Hope you get to feeling better!

    Yeah that tanks... We hat a salt water going once upon a time. And then we had 4 days without power in the middle of winter with the tank on an exterior wall. We lost most of the tank and never had the heart to get it going again. Gave away everything that survived to other tanks in the area...

    So when I got my first bottle of Royall Bay Rhum my wife complained about it smelling like sweaty gym socks. huh... Oh well, I liked it and continued to use it with no comments from anyone. Then I bought another bottle and for some reason stopped using it as much. I put some on for the first time in a long time. I walk into the room where my wife is reading and within moments she asks what smells like a dirty diaper. Ya know... I don't think she likes the way Bay Rhum smells. :happy102

    I Guess it is a good thing that my skin can't handle Bay Rum soaps (or that usually I don't spend much time with my wife until hours after my shave)

    been pricing mobo's, processors, memory, hdds, etc...

    2 observations:

    1) building a computer used to be a lot simpler;

    2) building a computer used to be a lot cheaper than buying pre-built; if it's not cheaper to buy the HP/Dell/etc, then the savings probably aren't enough to bother building anyway (that is, if the primary purpose is saving $$$; if it's for fun, that's a different story)

    The last time I needed to do an update on the wife's computer I just went and bought her a computer rather than do it part by part. It was strange. I think it was the first time I had ever just bought a computer since the days of the VIC 20 / TI 99 4A

    hmmm, fat-free hot dogs, huh?
    is that a lot like ride-free amusement parks? or water-free swimming pool? or bacon-free BLT?
    isn't there something missing?
    :D

    yeah, that's what I'm debating right now, I really want a quad-core machine (I shoulda never played with that machine!!! :happy097), but to upgrade my current desktop, I'd need a system board, the CPU, memory, SATA HDD, and video card, might as well go ahead and get a new case and sound card too, and by then the price point is no longer worth the hassle, especially when the HP I was looking at includes free upgrade to windows 7 and LCD screen....what's the world coming too!!! :happy097

    Well if that has everything you want then I guess.

    One of the reasons I still do my own component by component is 1) the satisfaction of doing it myself and 2) the fact that I know what is in it and it was what I wanted {and could afford}

    But if I ever upgrade this computer... its been so long I would have to upgrade eveything... new CPU won't work in this mobo, so would need knew mobo which would need new memory, video card, etc... Oh, of course I would need a new power supply.. I like my case, but then again....

    Besides the fat they are also missing relish and spicy mustard.... onions... missing a lot of stuff. Man I wish I knew I was out of all that stuff before I started this process. With the right toppings it could have been disguised. Not even any chilli.... *sigh*

    If you're going to tack on chili, you might as well skip the fat-free dog. :happy102

    And I know what you mean... many's the time I've gotten home from the store with my pack of Hebrew National 1/4 pound dinner franks (for which proper buns are nearly impossible to find) only to find out that I'm out of relish, mustard, or didn't grab an onion or anything.
    You really do need to check the fridge and make a list for such things before attempting to buy hotdogs.

    exactly
    I much prefer to build component by component, it's just too hard to justify when many times a pre-built machine can be customized to the same specs for cheaper
    my current machine is the same as yours, to upgrade it now would be an entirely new machine anyway, so......

    What a computer mess we have in here. Good thing I know nothing about them.

    exactly a mess, I couldn't build this computer as cheaply...of course, that doesn't take into account higher performance mobo, sound and video cards, but for what I need it would work fine
