Something I discovered when I went through this with my mom, quite by surprise, was that sometimes people suffering from Dementia/Alzheimer's retain the core of what was most unique and good about them. Try to look for that when you're with her. Sometimes it's hard to see through the fog, but I'll bet you'll see it when you try.

 

Good evening everyone! I'm currently sitting in McCarran Airport in Vegas waiting for my departing flight. Got a little bit of time to kill still and a long bit of travel to go. I'm about 15 pounds heavier thanks to the great food, but no arrests and money still in my pocket mean all is well. And the Lord Tech razor made for a nice travel razor despite the cheap price.

 

Hm... as much as those last 4 paychecks will be nice I'm starting to think this might be a sign that it's time to walk away from this job. I'm your typical healthy 20 year old and I'm having mild chest pains, a bit of a rapid heart beat, and a little bit of a breathing issue along with a general feeling of anxiety at the thought of having to go to work. Sounds like a panic attack to me, not sure if the money is worth a month of these. I wouldn't even care if it wasn't for the fact that even though this is clearly just anxiety based it's keeping me up, I need to be at work in 5 hours.

 

That doesn't sound good, Jen.

Money is good to have and a clean employment history is a must, but sometimes we have to choose our health.
If you need to stay in the job, I suggest trying to find ways to separate yourself from the job while still doing the job.

 

Jen, hoping for the best. Hopefully you can work things out or like Greg said, find a way to separate yourself from the job.

 

meh at this rate I'm going to end up getting fired anyway... this is the second day in a row my alarm clock hasn't woken me up and I've ended up late, I'm going to be at least 15-30 minutes late today *sigh*

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too... I put in my two (and a half) weeks notice today. I'm trying to separate myself from it a little, my boss keeps making dumb jokes (not about me or anything, just in general) and whining about how he hates people and I'm just ignoring him.

Thanks Dom, I'm working IT so pretty much I'm just tech support. This summer my boss has just had me run around and do the boring stuff he doesn't want to do.

Yes.. that is why we did it. We sat around and thought. huh Jim left only 1 post shy of 4K. How can we mess with his plans. And then it dawned us like a bolt from the sky... delete a thread that really needed deletion. That will fix his 4K return plans. BWAHAHAHA!!

I think I swallowed mine.. I was using them to help me chortle while evil laughing....

 

yep, you're right, I had a picture I had worked on for the return, but it's okay, I can't find it now, so it matters not
