aww, that is a good reason not to sleep. I don't sleep because I like the night hours and my job has me up at 8 AM. Since I can't not raid with my friends in WoW until 2 AM I just don't sleep as much as I should. I tend to make up for it on the weekends by sleeping until noonish.

 

I thank my lucky starts daily that I have no kids.

Not yet, really considering shutting the door during lunch and just taking a nap. Went to bed around 3 AM

 

now, why does this sound familiar...check in after 1/2 day and have 4 pages of 40 posts/page to catch up on? It's like Deja Vu again...

that's okay, though...I have mostly printer and computer deployments today...until I get an R2 unit, that means I'm stuck physically leaving my office every once in a while

 

ugh I hate when I need to leave. I love our remote access system when it works. Some of my users don't know what is going on when I send them a message box requesting to remotely access their PC. A bunch of them will shut the box, freak out, lock their computer and reset it. Then I need to call them and tell them they're idiots. I've told these people many times that it is IT trying to do work, but I get the same reaction every time, it blows my mind. My big task for today is look on our anti-virus data bases to make sure all of the users are covered.

 

I sent someone into the shop with a cutoff wheel about 30 minutes ago to chop a bolt off something. Wonder if I should go check on them...

 

Ryan, I wouldn't worry about. If he needs something he can scream like everybody else.

It's a five minute job. At most. Poor kid wouldn't make it very far in a fab shop.

Power tools make me want to quit and open a hot rod shop. Or move to AZ and run my dad's.

 

I only ask because I do have a guy that I could tell the sky is blue and 5 minutes later he will forget and ask me what color the sky is.

 

if you don't mind my asking, what remote system are you using? We are currently looking at options.
